Division Fabrication Additive Métallique
The metal additive manufacturing division DFAM carry out interdisciplinary research on the additive manufacturing of metal materials and alloys by several processes such as selective laser melting SLM and selective laser sintering (SLS). It conducts research on the multi-scale fabrication (macro and microscopic) of complex structures and microstructures. DFAM is made of four research teams conducting in-depth research on additive manufacturing processes, the design, optimization and application of additively manufactured structures. This division covers, but is not limited to, the following research areas:
- Design and optimization of structures for additive manufacturing.
- Modeling and numerical simulation of the behavior of structures and parts.
- Control and optimization of additive manufacturing processes.
- 3D printing of structures and parts according to the technological needs of URFA and its partners.
- Post-processing and quality control of parts
- Design and production of devices by additive micro-manufacturing.
In addition, this division shares its know-how with socio-economic partners and contributes to the technological development of processes and techniques related to additive manufacturing.
